        <title>C64 STARTER — A First Step into C64 Demos on Linux | WizVoid</title>

<description>Eight sprites, raster colours, scrolling text and three voices of SID sound—a small demo celebrating the ingredients that made the Commodore 64 demoscene so much fun. C64 STARTER is a working example made with my “Begin with C64 Demos on Linux” starter kit. It moves through a sprite wave, an orbit formation and a greetings screen in a short, repeating loop. The demo is written in C, compiled into native C64 machine code using Oscar64, and recorded in VICE. The kit brings together the compiler, emulator, code skeleton and documentation to help you start making your own demos on Linux. This is a starting point for experimentation: change the sprites, write a tune, greet your friends and see where the next effect takes you. Code, visuals and SID music by WizVoid. Decades later. More demo fun. https://wizvoid.space</description>
