He co-founded Zenzeleni Networks as part of his PhD research, exploring what makes community networks in rural South Africa sustainable and scalable. Following his doctorate in 2015, he produced a seminal report on community networks across Africa and co-organised the first five editions of the Summit on Community Networks in Africa. He is now with the Association for Progressive Communications (APC), where he co-leads its community networks initiative, overseeing projects in Latin America, Africa and Asia. He also coordinates policy and regulatory work to create more enabling frameworks for local operators and community networks, providing training to regional regulatory associations, authoring reports, and participating regularly as a speaker in internet governance and telecommunications policy forums.</description>
